Sending: prove the controls before choosing a platform

Select a sender around account ownership, suppression, reply handling and actual provider evidence. Inbox placement requires a real trial.

The choice

Choose the sending platform after the motion and release controls are defined. A reviewed personal conversation may fit the existing business mailbox or CRM sequence. A scaled campaign needs account-level collision checks, central suppression, reply stops and observable sending health.

We are not naming a deliverability winner. No sender account or real mailbox-delivery trial was available for this evaluation. The useful conclusion is the control contract a platform must pass before a campaign goes live.

What we actually tested

Four synthetic release cases covered suppression, invalid contact data, unconfirmed authentication and an otherwise eligible fixture. The first three held; the last still required review. A locally generated MIME message retained the unsubscribe header, one-click POST header and a visible body link when parsed.

No SMTP message was submitted. No SPF, DKIM or DMARC result was measured. No inbox-placement, bounce, complaint or live campaign rate was observed. Header construction alone is not email delivery.

Run an actual sender trial

Use an approved, small cohort and the client's own accounts. Verify role relevance and suppression, inspect actual authentication and receiving-provider responses, then test opt-out and reply handling across every connected sender. Observe real outcomes before increasing volume.

Compare provider acceptance, hard and soft failures, complaints and qualified human replies. Opens alone do not establish inbox placement. Verification and warmup scores do not guarantee delivery.

Documentation and next step

Google's sender guidelines provide current Gmail requirements. Instantly documents high-bounce auto-pause and campaign options. Those documents help specify the trial; they are not hands-on results. Use the sending setup and reply management workflows to define the controls.
