The published evidence
Google’s Xoxoday case study quotes Vijay Veerubhotla as Senior PPC Consultant. It is evidence of the work Vijay led, attributed to him rather than presented as a GTMhub client engagement. It is not a performance guarantee for another account.
The published study reports the metrics above. Preserve Google’s stated labels: the +28% and 1.3x figures both relate to SQL outcomes and should not be presented as separate additive wins.

The decision that matters
The case describes mapping the lead-to-sales journey, assigning values to lifecycle events and importing the relevant events through a direct CRM integration. Conversion actions were changed and maximum conversion value bidding was deployed. That gives bidding a better representation of what a lead is worth than treating every inquiry as equal.
The general principle is specific: an ad account can optimize only against the commercial signals you configure and supply. A team that asks for cheap leads can get a healthy acquisition report and a weak sales result. The measurement contract belongs upstream of the bidding decision.
What the case does not establish
The study is about value-based bidding. It does not prove that every modern offline-import path, enhanced-conversion setup or workflow in this library was used in that engagement. Nor does it establish the same lift for a new company with different economics, volume or sales-cycle delay.
No unpublished account narrative or first-person recollection has been added here. The published document is the source for the result. That leaves room to add Vijay’s firsthand account later without turning inference into history.
Applying the principle today
- Agree the CRM event and pipeline definition with sales.
- Check that deal values and stage values have a defensible basis.
- Preserve identifiers and use the currently supported platform integration.
- Reconcile imports and inspect diagnostics before changing bidding goals.
- Evaluate mature cohorts and the complete sales handoff, not just cost per lead.
The paid media playbook covers the decision. The offline conversion workflow covers the modern implementation design and its failure paths.
